Intro

The EX/CIRC range of ceiling access panels provide easy access to services in various types of ceiling systems.

Description

Consists of a flush metal door with a picture frame allowing it to be inserted into a pre-cut hole in a finished ceiling but with a rebated edge to the door tray to give a ‘porthole’ effect. Made from wholly non-combustible materials in accordance with BS476 part 4.

Construction

Constructed from 1.2 mm thick aluminium, which has been spun into shape and then polyester powder coated (ppc) to a matt white finish of Ral 9010, 20% gloss. The door is secured by three frame pins, which lock into slots within the door tray. For safety reasons the door is fitted with a chain, which is secured to the frame. This can be removed after opening the door. Other polyester powder coated colour finishes can be supplied upon request.

Dimensions

Our circular panels are supplied in 300mm, 450mm and 600mm diameter sizes as standard. Non standard panel sizes available upon request. For further information please contact our Technical Sales Department.

Fitting

When installing the access panel, the actual size of structural opening in the ceiling needs to be 5mm greater than the overall panel dimension e.g. structural opening for 600mm diameter panel will be 605mm. The access panel will require independent bracing and support, which is sufficient to secure and also allow safe opening of the access panel within the wall/ceiling system.
